Our thoughts go to all the artists who were supposed to be part of the festival program this year, and whose shows had to be cancelled and eventually postponed. The restrictions, whether regarding travels, borders being closed, uncertain working conditions, projects being delayed, or the social and cultural closure in Oslo, made it impossible to present their work at this time.
We thank them for their trust, for their determination and willingness to find solutions together with us all the way until the point of cancellation. Some productions will be rescheduled, appearing as the comets of Oslo Internasjonale Teaterfestival later in 2021 or in 2022.
We have a special thought for both Mia Habib Productions and Kristina Norman, who were part of the final days of the festival last year when we suddenly had to close down – their shows already got cancelled once, and now they are experiencing it yet again.
